Sometimes called Big Chart Management, the founders of Viga have long used a particular style of communicating which lends itself to "seeing" the big picture while managing the details required for success. It has been often said that a "picture is worth a thousand words". This is actually a misquote of an ancient Chinese proverb. In fact, the literal translation is: A Picture's Meaning Can Express Ten Thousand Words. Now, being people of many words, you can see why we had to develop a methodology to communicate which would be more effective and efficient than reams of paper. (We are in the paper reduction business after all.) If the truth be known, we were far more comfortable in the days of flip charts and overhead projectors. (Some of us even remember Opaque Projectors!)
Viga Visual Managementsm (VVMsm) employs large visual representations of data and process flows to remove the opaque nature of business processes. We seek a better understanding of how to improve your business by sharing a common view of the process. We have found that through the disciplined development and repetitive use of these large visuals, an extended project team can deliver astounding results in amazingly short amounts of time. Furthermore, these visual representations of your process act as lasting scorecards for the performance improvement over time.
Oh, and by the way, our Big Charts are much better than a 50-slide PowerPoint or a 100 page report.)
